Peniche, Portugal

This is Peniche, an old fishermen’s city known as one of the best places in the world to Surf, having World Class waves as the wave of ‘SUPERTUBOS‘ (which is right at the beach in front of the house) holds the WORLD Championship from the WSL (World Surf League) since 2009 , it’s also one of the best and most consistence places regarding waves to come and learn how to surf or to improve your surfing level.

Having more then 15 different quality surf spots to surf. From kilometers of beach breaks (sand) to point breaks (rocks) we have it all at your choice for the perfect holidays and a lot of surf .

Surrounded by 2 enormous beach bays and a straight line of more than 10 kilometers of sand, the Peniche peninsula can face all different kind of swell and wind direction which makes it a surfers paradise like few other places in the World.

Food , of course this is something that you will find all around with really high quality and with wonderful views all around our coast line , from the fish to the seafood and the meat there is plenty of choice for you to get lost!

Taking a quick car trip you can also be able to see where the Guinness World Record for the  Biggest Surfed Wave in World has been set (23 meter/78 foot)  wave in 2011 by Garrett McNamara at Nazaré.

Then in the 8th November of 2017 the World Record was set again this time by the Brazilian Rodrigo Koxa  with a (80 foot wave/24,64meter)

Portuguese Big Wave Surfer and friend Hugo Vau may have surfed what has been called by others (including Garrett McNamara himself) as the Big Mama , probably one of the biggest waver ever seen and surfed at Nazaré which they claim to a wave around (114 foot wave/35 meter) although the record hasn’t been yet been confirmed by the WSL (World Surf League) and the Guinness World Record.
